Boiler Update

Posted on October 29, 2020 By Flowers Canada Posted In Growers

As of July 1, 2021, all boilers, pressures vessels or piping used exclusively for agricultural purpose will no longer be exempt from O. Reg 220/01 the Boilers and Pressure Vessels regulation. If you have pressure vessels on site, you will be required to register your pressure equipment with TSSA by March 1, 2021. Details are here in the letter from Minister Thompson. TSSA will be inspecting all equipment as soon as feasible thereafter. Any corrective actions that need to be completed will be phased in over a 5-year period based on risk. Note that the O. Reg 219/01 regulating Operating Engineers has not been changed. TSSA has recently posted the following FAQ on their website for re: The Minister’s revocation. The TSSA FAQ page is posted here: https://www.tssa.org/en/boilers-pressure-vessels/legislation-and-regulatory-information.aspx
