Event Description

The 42nd annual charity Cecil Delworth Foundation – Flowers Canada (Ontario) Golf Tournament was held this year on June 25th, 2014 at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club in Fenwich, Ontario. Twenty Nine golfers enjoyed this beautiful day and through the purchase of cheat strings, which would help them reduce or save a stoke, by testing their skills in sinking a ball, in the well know FCO dinghy and auction tickets, we were able to raise over $13,000 for the Cecil Delworth Foundation.

This event could not have been such a success without our dedicated sponsors. Flowers Canada and the Cecil Delworth Foundation would like to acknowledge and thank all our Sponsors for helping support such a successful charity golf tournament. Many thanks go out to; our banner sponsors; Scotia Bank, AgEnergy, Jeffery’s Greenhouse, Marsh and Willson International, our lunch sponsor; Canadian Greenhouse Conference, our Ball sponsor; Extreme Technology, and our Tee sponsor; Premier Horticulture and to our 36 tee and green sponsors.

Thank you also to our raffle prize sponsors RLB LLD, Scotia Bank, MNP and Horticolor and to Westbrook Flora for the donation of a utility trailer used in the silent auction.

The success of any charity golf tournament is all about the golfers that attend, and Flowers Canada cannot thank this year’s 29 golfers enough, for all their outstanding generosity to this charity. FCO considers every golfer a winner, but Congratulations goes out to the winners of the Canadian Florist Magazine Low Gross, Steve Cosby, John Gardiner, Mitch Molen and Bryan VanGeest . The Tidy’s Flowers Founders Trophy, Dave Dehaan, Rej Picard and Paul Bongers and The Best of the Rest went to Dave Harrison, Sam He and Chris Armstrong.

A special thank you goes out to the FCO staff and golf committee for all of their help throughout the day and the staff and volunteers at Peninsula Lake Golf Club for hosting this year’s successful golf tournament.
