U.S. and Canada to Phase Out Wood Packing Material Treatment Exemptions 3/11/2011

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the United States Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) announced plans to remove the exemptions which allow wood packing material to move between the two countries without undergoing treatment specified by the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) No. 15.


U.S. Federal Order on cut Flowers from the Netherlands - Enforcement January 20, 2011 1/10/2011

The United States Department of Agriculture has instituted a Federal Order effective January 5, 2011 requiring that most cut flowers from the Netherlands be accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate stating that the material has been inspected and found free of quarantine pests.
